Job summary

The State of Ohio is seeking a full-time Facility Maintenance Specialist 1 in Delaware to help keep facilities safe, functional, and mission-ready. Starting hourly pay is $22.60 with a current range up to $25.77 per hour. Work hours are 0800–1700, with flex scheduling available and OCSEA union involvement.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of post‑secondary training in facilities maintenance technology, industrial trades technology, or a comparable training program.
• At least one year of experience in construction or building maintenance that includes carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Working Conditions

Salary Information

This position is assigned as a pay range 007 of the State of Ohio’s pay schedule, with a starting hourly rate of $22.60 and current range up to $25.77 per hour. Starting pay is usually at the minimum of the range unless otherwise required by law or union contract, or unless the selected candidate's qualifications warrant consideration above the minimum. With continued employment and satisfactory performance, employees generally advance to the next pay step after six (6) months and then annually thereafter. Cost‑of‑living adjustments are typically applied on July 1.
