Role Overview:

As a Facility Maintenance Specialist at STERIS, you will manage maintenance tasks to ensure seamless facility operations. Your responsibilities include performing repairs and preventive maintenance within a validated, cGMP setting, aiming to minimize equipment downtime and enhance productivity. This role involves maintaining shop tools, updating the CMMS, supporting emergency responses when needed, and aligning with Lean and 5S practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Troubleshoot and resolve technical failures across our facilities.
2. Perform scheduled maintenance on processing equipment, continuously improving processes for efficiency.
3. Extend equipment lifespan through predictive maintenance and oversee new installations.
4. Prioritize safety by conducting maintenance inspections and complying with safety regulations and procedures.
5. Work flexible shifts, including emergency response, and manage inventory as required.

Skills:

1. Proficiency in heavy equipment repairs and electrical installations.
2. Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, VFDs, PLCs, and conveyor systems.
3. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret blueprints.
4. High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
