Position Title: Facility Maintenance Personnel

The Facility Assistant is part of the Data Center Operations Team, providing leadership and management for day‑to‑day operations of a large scale Data Center electrical/mechanical plant, ensuring reliability and availability.

Your role

The Facility Assistant shall provide leadership and management for day‑to‑day operations of a large scale Data Center electrical/mechanical plant, while ensuring the highest levels of reliability and availability are maintained.

What you’ll do

• Assist as a security monitor (looking for violations and escorting contractors to secured areas) during normal business hours and on call for emergencies.
• Assist with shipping/receiving and general loading dock activities and operations.
• Perform daily property tours.
• Assist managers with obtaining facility‑related price quotations and bid proposals.
• Assist with performing and scheduling repairs and preventative maintenance of general facility equipment and grounds, including landscaping, irrigation systems, elevators, dock levelers, pest control, trash removal, painting, crating/uncrating equipment, and security equipment (cameras, readers, gates).
• Assist with cleaning and general custodial services of the facility.
• Escort vendor to the appropriate departmental contact, excluding all areas for MEP, roof, and critical space in the data center.
• Maintain work areas in a neat and safe manner (non‑critical space).
• Organize and file property‑related facility documents.

What you’ll need

• 2 years of facility management experience in a high reliability data center or similar environment (preferred).
• Background in carpentry and general building hardware maintenance (doors, locks, windows, flooring). Basic carpentry skills and painting experience are preferred.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Rudimentary problem‑solving skills and technical and organizational expertise.
• Ability to solicit feedback to ensure deliverables meet expectations.
• Strong written and verbal command of the English language.
• Responsibility and strong work ethic; leading by example in attendance, attitude, and technical work product.
• Extended hours may be required at times.
• Ability and willingness to respond to emails after hours in the event of an emergency.
