Job description

Join us as a Facility Maintenance Mechanic at Canadian Solar Inc.

We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on buildings and common areas, ensuring the proper functioning of machinery, equipment, facilities, and systems, and preventing breakdowns. This position is for the NIGHT SHIFT.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance independently, including flooring, lighting, plumbing, carpentry, locking, and painting.
• Schedule and carry out preventative maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, alarm systems, roofing, locking, landscaping, fire protection, and lighting systems.
• Monitor and evaluate building maintenance contracts and service work.
• Collaborate with other departments on cost reduction initiatives.
• Support ISO 9001 activities.
• Follow all environmental, health, and safety policies and regulations.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in general industrial facilities maintenance.
• Completion of a Building Maintenance Technology diploma/certificate or similar program is preferred.
• HVAC certification is preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
