Job summary

YMCA in Silver Spring is seeking a hands-on Facility Maintenance Manager to keep our building safe, clean, and welcoming for members and staff. You will manage routine maintenance, troubleshoot basic systems, supervise housekeeping and maintenance teams, and coordinate with outside contractors.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in facility maintenance, basic plumbing, electrical and HVAC skills, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the capacity to work independently.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building or facility maintenance experience.
• Basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC skills.
• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Pool certification and bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Handle routine building maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues.
• Oversee daily cleaning and maintenance operations.
• Supervise and support housekeeping and maintenance staff.
• Coordinate outside contractors and preventive maintenance.
• Help keep our facility safe, clean, and ready for members.
