Job summary

Valicor is seeking a Facility Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance of facility equipment, utilities, and infrastructure. You will direct daily maintenance activities, develop preventive maintenance programs, and partner with operations to improve reliability and performance.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, CMMS experience, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage facility maintenance personnel.
  • Direct daily maintenance activities for production equipment, utilities, and facility systems.
  • Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Prioritize maintenance activities based on safety, operational impact, and equipment reliability.
  • Manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and equipment history through the CMMS.
  • Troubleshoot recurring equipment issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Monitor uptime, downtime, PM completion, backlog, and maintenance costs.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs, planned shutdowns, installations, and facility improvement projects.
  • Ensure maintenance work complies with safety requirements and regulations (Lockout/Tagout).
  • Partner with Operations, EHS, Engineering, and other teams to improve reliability and productivity.

Position Summary

The Facility Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the maintenance function and ensuring the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of facility equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.

This role will lead the maintenance team, improve preventive maintenance execution, reduce unplanned downtime, and partner closely with Operations to support equipment reliability and facility performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and manage facility maintenance personnel.
  • Direct daily maintenance activities for production equipment, utilities, and facility systems.
  • Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Prioritize maintenance activities based on safety, operational impact, and equipment reliability.
  • Manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and equipment history through the CMMS.
  • Troubleshoot recurring equipment issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Monitor key maintenance metrics including uptime, downtime, PM completion, backlog, and maintenance costs.
  • Manage contractors, vendors, spare-parts inventory, and maintenance-related spending.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs, planned shutdowns, installations, and facility improvement projects.
  • Ensure maintenance work complies with company safety requirements and applicable regulations, including Lockout/Tagout.
  • Partner with Operations, EHS, Engineering, and other teams to improve reliability, productivity, and overall facility performance.
Qualifications
  • Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing, processing, or a similar equipment-intensive environment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
  • Working knowledge of industrial safety practices and OSHA requirements.
  • Experience managing contractors, vendors, maintenance projects, and budgets.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.
  • Strong leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification, apprenticeship, or related degree preferred.
Preferred Technical Experience
  • Experience with industrial equipment and systems such as pumps, motors, piping, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, compressors, electrical controls, PLCs, and facility utilities is preferred.
  • This position requires regular presence throughout an industrial facility and flexibility to support significant equipment failures, planned shutdowns, or facility emergencies as needed.
  • Successful candidates must pass the Pre-Screening including a criminal background check, drug screen, and MVR check (if applicable for the position).
