Job summary

Titan International, Inc. in Bryan, Ohio, seeks a Facility Maintenance Manager to maximize plant and equipment availability and to ensure production security in line with company policies and safety and environmental requirements.

The role leads the maintenance team, coordinates inspections, maintains maintenance logs, participates in budgeting, and ensures equipment remains safe and operable through preventive and corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent training and experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in facility maintenance.
  • Experience in estimating maintenance and repair costs a plus.
  • Ability to lead a multi-task team and supervise technically.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Facility Maintenance Manager is responsible for maximizing availability of all plant and equipment and thus ensures security of production while understanding that the direction of all routine maintenance activities shall be in line with company operating policies and procedures. Will ensure compliance with safety, legislative, environmental, and certifying authority requirements. Uses independent judgment and exercises discretion in executing their duties. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality.

Essential Functions
  • 1.Manage direct reports to ensure that high standards of safety are developed, met and maintained at the facilities.
  • 2.Arrange and coordinate annual fire safety inspections with local fire departments. Will follow up on any deficiencies or recommendations.
  • 3.Coordinate the internal safety inspections of the facilities conducted by the Managers and certified safety professional. Will follow up on deficiencies and recommendations.
  • 4.May participate in the process and function of the company’s safety committee as the Maintenance representative.
  • 5.Ensure that facilities and grounds are maintained in accordance with relevant regulations, agency standards and fiscal consideration.
  • 6.Develop, implement and regularly review site-specific maintenance logs for each facility.
  • 7.Conduct quarterly maintenance inspections of each facility with the relevant Supervisor or Manager.
  • 8.Provide a summary of maintenance recommendations to the relevant manager.
  • 9.Evaluate long-term needs in relation to major projects and property improvements.
  • 10.Coordinate, arrange and supervise, or provide for, the completion of corrective and preventive maintenance in accordance with company operating procedures, practices and financial considerations.
  • 11.Will ensure that major equipment and furnishings are maintained in safe, operable condition and/or arrange for replacement.
  • 12.Develop, implement and review equipment records (included in Maintenance Logs).
  • 13.Establish procedures and contacts to ensure timely repairs of equipment requiring minor repairs on a frequent basis.
  • 14.Secure major equipment bids and make recommendations for purchase when replacement or new equipment is required.
  • 15.May arrange or provide training for personnel as it relates to the safety and maintenance needs of equipment.
  • 16.Provide staff training in a variety of safety and maintenance topics including the effective utilization of the maintenance logs, completion of routine maintenance specific to the facility, equipment operations, multimedia fire safety training, etc.
  • 17.Arrange and coordinate annual fire safety training with the Safety Director and/or various other employees and staff.
  • 18.Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.
  • 19.Participate in annual budget preparation as it relates to safety and maintenance of facilities, grounds and equipment.
  • 20.Regularly review and monitor compliance with safe work systems and maintenance procedures.
  • 21.Will perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1.Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred and/or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • 2.At least 5 years of experience in facility maintenance.
  • 3.Experience in estimating maintenance and repair costs a plus.
  • 4.Ability to lead a multi-task team as a supervisor and in a technical capacity.
  • 5.Good knowledge of maintenance method and equipment.
  • 6.Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
  • 7.Good verbal and written communication skills.

Licenses or Certification (Required/Preferred):
None

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position will have supervisory responsibilities over employees in the Maintenance Department.

Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.

Physical Demands:
This position may require heavy lifting up to 75 lbs. or more.
