Commercial Metals Company in Dallas is seeking a maintenance technician to support our recycling centers, fabrication plants, and mills. You will perform repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to keep equipment running.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, safety, and quality. You will collaborate with a team, follow CM Safety Programs, and contribute to plant reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Experience with mechanics/hydraulics tools and basic systems helpful.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work in varying conditions.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and repair equipment, machines, and systems as needed.
• Follow safety programs and keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Proactively support maintenance and repair tasks assigned by supervisor.

What You'll Do

• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
• Conserves maintenance resources by efficiently using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Possess proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of the repair and maintenance process

What You'll Need

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Experience with a wide variety of tools related to mechanics/hydraulics
• Experience with basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, engines, mobile equipment, and vehicles (number of years up to location preference)
• Possess proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of the repair and maintenance process

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
