Job summary

Traders Village is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a full-time role at our Houston property. The site spans roughly 180 acres and requires hands-on expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of equipment, structures, and facilities.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate hands-on experience in at least four maintenance disciplines, work independently or with a team, and uphold a safe work environment across a large outdoor operation.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience in at least four (4) of the listed maintenance areas.
• Electrical systems: troubleshooting, wiring, outlets, lighting, breakers, etc.
• Plumbing: repairing leaks, fixtures, drains, water lines.
• Carpentry: framing, drywall, doors, fencing, general repairs.
• Landscape equipment: mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws.
• Hydraulic systems: basic understanding.

Location: 7979 N. Eldridge Pkwy, Houston, TX 77041

Schedule Options:

• Full-Time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch) – 39 hours/week

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is not an entry-level position. Our property spans approximately 180 acres, and we are looking for someone with a strong maintenance background who can troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of equipment, buildings, and infrastructure.

Qualified candidates must have hands-on experience in at least four (4) of the maintenance skill areas listed below and be able to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining a safe work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have hands-on experience in at least four (4) of the following areas:

• Basic electrical systems (troubleshooting, wiring, outlets, lighting, breakers, etc.)


• Basic plumbing (repairing leaks, replacing fixtures, unclogging drains, water lines, etc.)


• Basic carpentry (framing, drywall repair, doors, fencing, general repairs)


• Operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, etc.)


• Basic understanding of hydraulic systems


• Basic understanding of pneumatic systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial, industrial, amusement park, facilities, or property maintenance.


• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and complete repairs efficiently.


• Experience using a variety of hand tools and power tools.


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks.


• Dependable with excellent attendance and work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.


• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work on uneven terrain.


• Comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold, rainy, and humid conditions.


• Ability to work on a property spanning approximately 180 acres, which requires traveling between maintenance locations throughout the day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.


• Valid driver's license preferred.


• Must be able to pass any required pre-employment screenings.


• Must have reliable transportation.


• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as business needs require.
