Job summary

Wyoming Department of Corrections seeks a skilled trades professional to perform electrical maintenance and general facility upkeep across the Rawlins site. You will troubleshoot electrical systems, replace components, and manage preventive maintenance programs to keep the facility secure and efficient.

The role includes supervising inmate crews, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining fleet equipment. A journeyman-level aptitude and 2–4 years of experience are preferred, with an emphasis on

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of progressive work experience in a skilled trade.
• Associate's Degree required or equivalent.
• Knowledge of electrical diagnostics and general maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical duties: replacing light bulbs, ballast, switches and troubleshoot electrical components.
• Plan and perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment.
• Supervise inmate workers and train crews on tools and safety.
• Maintain fleet vehicles and related equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Be on-call rotating schedule including nights/weekends.
