Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of facility maintenance experience, preferably in industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water plants, compressed air, and VFD-controlled pumps.
• Experience with fire sprinkler and alarm systems is a strong plus.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with outside vendors and specialized contractors for repairs.
• Oversee HVAC, cooling towers, compressed air, and fire suppression service contracts.
• Oversee building upkeep: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, lighting, and doors/docks.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment.
• Ensure chilled water systems and VFD pumps are maintained.
• Coordinate testing and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems and related gear.
• Oversee alarm systems (fire, security, building automation).
• Oversee grounds maintenance and exterior upkeep.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance programs and maintain records.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and work orders promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental requirements.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facility Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. This is a critical hands-on role responsible for keeping our manufacturing facility operating efficiently and safely. If you have strong technical expertise in HVAC, mechanical systems, and building maintenance, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with outside third-party vendors and specialized contractors for routine and specialized repairs.
• Oversee routine vendor-maintained systems to include facility HVAC, cooling towers, compressed air, fire suppression, to ensure service contract obligations are met.
• Oversee building upkeep duties including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, locksmithing, door/dock, commercial roofing, and lighting.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and ensure timely repair of facility equipment and systems.
• Ensure chilled water systems and variable frequency drive (VFD) pumps are maintained.
• Coordinate the testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems and related fire protection equipment.
• Oversee service and monitoring of alarm systems (fire, security, and building automation).
• Oversee contractors for general grounds maintenance and exterior upkeep.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and work orders.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, codes, and environmental requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 3+ years of proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, compressed air, chilled water plants, and VFD-controlled pumps
• Experience with fire sprinkler systems and alarm systems is a strong plus
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance
• Comfortable with the operation of boom and scissor lifts (certification a plus)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform duties in various weather conditions
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Availability for occasional after-hours emergency response

Work Environment/Physical Demands: The Facility Maintenance Coordinator works in a climate-controlled environment. Exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and slip resistant safety toe shoes.
