Job summary

Elgen Staffing seeks a Facility Maintenance Coordinator to manage and inspect equipment, buildings and property at our Galesburg site. The role includes electrical work up to 480V and coordination of repairs to keep facilities safe and compliant.

You will read blueprints and schematics, operate various tools, and liaise with OSHA while ensuring repairs are documented and invoices processed in SAP. Strong maintenance background and regulatory knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Technical Degree.
• Minimum 5-7 years maintenance and electrical experience.
• Experience with low voltage and high voltage (480V) equipment.
• Knowledge of OSHA and National Electrical Code requirements.
• Possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License, and free of serious violations.
• Experience with overhead cranes and welding equipment.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of our organization’s physical operations including refrigeration, heating and a/c, kitchen equipment, plumbing, water and waste treatment and electrical systems.
• Keep parking lot and sidewalks free of ice or hazards.
• Read assembly instructions, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Use power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and hand tools.
• Work on electrical circuits, and motors.
• Know city and state building codes and local, state and federal regulations.
• Interface with OSHA as needed. Prepare reports as required.
• Creates purchase requisitions using SAP for all repair items and approve service invoices.

Our candidate of choice will be responsible for maintaining and inspecting company equipment, buildings and property; assure repair of property. This includes electrical work for low voltage devices up to and including 480V equipment and machines.
