Job summary

Medical Facilities Of America, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant at Lillington Health and Rehabilitation Center in North Carolina to help keep the facility safe, well-maintained, and ready to serve patients and residents.

You will support the maintenance team in keeping systems compliant with safety regulations and building codes. Responsibilities include general maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing, electrical work), completing work orders promptly, conducting inspections,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 1 year of experience in commercial maintenance or related trade.
• Basic computer skills (email, electronic ordering, work order tracking).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible hours and ability to respond to emergencies within 20 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Perform general facility maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing, minor repairs, electrical work).
• Ensure preventive maintenance is performed on all equipment and systems.
• Prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Assist with regular inspections of the facility and equipment.
• Collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime.
• Maintain compliance with Department of Health and Life Safety Code and all regulations.
• Respond to fire and disaster situations per emergency plans.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Other duties to ensure safe operation of the healthcare center.

Lillington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lillington, NC is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Maintenance Assistant.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll help us achieve our mission of providing Care Beyond Compare by helping ensure our healthcare center is safe, well-maintained, and ready to serve our patients and residents. Your primary role will be to perform the duties of the maintenance department to ensure the facility is kept in good repair and all systems are in compliance with applicable safety and fire regulations as well as federal, state, and local building codes.

What you'll do

• Complete general facility maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing, minor repairs, and electrical work.
• Ensure preventative maintenance is routinely performed on all equipment / systems.
• Ensure work orders are properly prioritized and completed in a timely manner.
• Assist with regular inspections of the facility and equipment to identify any issues or potential problems.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
• Help ensure the facility remains in compliance with all Department of Health and Life Safety Code requirements as well as any federal, state, and local regulations.
• Respond to facility fire and disaster situations immediately and assist per emergency plans.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of maintenance activities including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
• Other duties necessary to ensure the safe operation of the healthcare center.

What you need

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• One (1) year experience in commercial maintenance or related trade.
• Basic computer skills (e-mail, electronic ordering, work order tracking, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet emergency requirements and ability to report to the center within twenty (20) minutes of being called for an emergency.
