Job summary

PCI Pharma Services is seeking a Facilities Worker I for a 24/7 shift (Fri-Sun 8am-8pm) to perform general maintenance across production facilities in Philadelphia. You will repair drywall, paint, do carpentry, basic plumbing/electrical work, and support HVAC PMs.

The role requires basic electrical skills, HVAC knowledge, rigging abilities, and strong teamwork. Build and maintain facility systems with vendors.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and/or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
  • Basic Mathematical Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills: Ability to perform basic computer tasks and has the ability to operate common computer programs.
  • Minimum Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak in a way that allows one to participate effectively in various conversations.
  • Intermediate Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
  • Has an official/recognized technical education/training.
  • Has a basic electrical training allowing basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Has rigging abilities including heavy equipment relocation at medium project level.
  • Has a basic understanding of HVAC systems, Chilled Water systems, Hot Water systems, and Electrical Power systems.
  • Has a good understanding of Facilities Equipment including Air Handlers, Chillers, Boilers, etc.
  • Has a good understanding of Honeywell Station modules: HVAC, Fire, and Utilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general building maintenance including drywall repair, painting, carpentry.
  • Handle basic plumbing and electrical work, HVAC PMs and repairs.
  • Change filters, install ceiling tiles, assemble furniture and equipment.
  • Lead repairs from start to completion and order needed parts.
  • Collaborate with vendors on equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Inspect and maintain facilities equipment such as air handlers, chillers, boilers.
  • Respond to maintenance needs and manage priorities.

Facilities Worker 1 - Shift: 24/7 AM Friday through Sunday 8 am - 8 pm
Summary of Objective:

Perform general building and maintenance duties. These duties include but are not limited to: Installation and drywall repair, Painting, Carpentry, Basic plumbing, Basic electrical work and installation, HVAC PM's and repairs, Filter changes, Ceiling tile installation and maintenance, assembly of furniture and equipment, Snow and ice removal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.

  • Has an official/recognized technical education/training.
  • Knows all PCI buildings and grounds.
  • Able to recognize and manage work priorities.
  • Team player and able to take directions from management and higher level workers.
  • Able to identify and order all needed parts using PCI ordering system.
  • Able to lead repairs from start to completion.
  • Able to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Able to paint, spackle, repair walls at medium project level (entire production suite).
  • Able to perform plumbing repairs and fixtures replacement at medium project level.
  • Able to perform carpentry repairs at medium project level.
  • Able to assembly/disassemble and install furniture at medium project level. Has a rigging abilities including heavy equipment relocation at medium project level.
  • Performs Preventive Maintenance of Air Handlers.
  • Has a basic electrical training allowing basic electrical troubleshooting. Trained and able to weld.
  • Has a basic Locksmith abilities including making keys.
  • Able to work directly with vendors on equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and projects.
  • Has a good understanding of Facilities Equipment including Air Handlers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Boilers, Air Compressors, Dehumidifiers, Humidifiers, and others.
  • Has a basic understanding of HVAC systems, Chilled Water systems, Hot Water systems, Compressed Air systems, Clean Air systems, and Electrical Power systems supporting listed above equipment/systems.
  • Able to perform basic troubleshooting of all Facilities Equipment/Systems listed above (power, faults, restarts).
  • Able to repair all Facilities Equipment listed above with support of SME's or Vendors for more complicated repairs.
  • Performs all Preventive Maintenance with SME's or vendors for more complicated PM's.
  • Has a good understanding of Honeywell Station modules: HVAC, Fire, and Utilities.
  • Able to make temperature/humidity changes offered by the system at the Supervisor Security Level.
