Job summary

Magnum Icc Sweden Supply Ab is hiring an Engineering Mechanic for our Sikeston, MO facility. The role covers independent maintenance of central engineering functions and technical support across the site, including boiler and cooling tower systems.

You will troubleshoot electrical issues, perform routine PMs, manage facility lighting and HVAC, and support shipping/receiving equipment while adhering to safety procedures. High school diploma required and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

The role

The Engineering Mechanic works independently to ensure timely and effective coverage of central engineering functions. The position also provides technical support throughout the facility.

What you'll be responsible for

• Operational/Maintenance of boiler systems.
• Operational/Maintenance of Cooling Tower systems.
• Light duty electrical trouble shooting.
• Maintenance of freezer and floor temperatures.
• Maintenance of freezer equipment, film wrappers and conveyors.
• Performance of painting, cement work, office area maintenance, lighting, and minor carpentry work.
• Performance of minor maintenance on walls and floor of facility.
• Maintenance for Foot bath systems.
• Pluming, floor drain blockages, sewage monitoring and/or treatments.
• Cleaning of grounds area.
• Perform bench work in the shop; i.e., pick up arms, tape heads, etc.
• Perform miscellaneous housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
• Respond to manufacturing maintenance calls as required.
• Maintain Hazwoper equipment and storage room.
• Maintain SCBA clean up and storage, testing and all other equipment.
• Maintenance of plant equipment as assigned.
• Perform tasks related to shipping/receiving equipment or parts.
• Work associated with:
  • HVAC equipment
  • Exhaust fans
  • Lighting
  • Lawn sprinkler system
  • Floor scrubber equipment
  • Battery charging equipment
• Performance of all assigned Preventative Maintenance (PM).
• Follow all required safety procedures and work in a safe manner.

We're looking for someone who

• High School Diploma
• Pass required test for this position
• Operate a computer
• Relating to office software, Maintenance Part Inventory software, which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems.
• Ability to work in both hot and cold conditions, on ladders and platforms, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity and/or ability to work with lubricants, solvents, brine solutions, and other chemicals with appropriate PPE.
• Ability to interpret basic Process & Instrumentation drawings (P&ID), electrical schematics and equipment manuals as necessary to perform assigned duties.

• Ability to navigate and use web-based programs such as Buildapp, Weever, Megamation, DFOS, SPC, etc.
• Ability to apply rigorous Cost Deployment and the Zero loss concept to eliminate losses utilizing UMS

Working environment

Work is performed throughout the facility. Potential hazards include proximity of moving machinery, chemical exposure, noise, heights or heavy lifting. The position may require an individual to stand, stoop, move equipment, bend, reach, or lift for prolonged periods of time. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) includes safety glasses, hearing protection, sanitary/anti-slip safety toe footwear, fall restraints, SCBA, Electrical Flash clothing, HAZWOPER and other PPE as required.
