Fastenal Co. in Indianapolis, IN is hiring for a full-time Facility Maintenance role at the 5851 Guion Rd distribution center. You will perform various maintenance tasks on facilities, equipment and fixtures in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers a schedule Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm initially, with potential for a flexible schedule after onboarding and meeting performance goals, and opportunities to contribute to health, safety and sustainability programs.

Formación

• Must be 18 years or older, with maintenance or repair experience.
• Able to use machines and tools; knowledge of their design, use and maintenance.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making.

Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 4:30pm

OVERVIEW

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace distribution center! Working as Full-time Facility Maintenance, you will perform a variety of duties related to the maintenance and repair of our facilities, equipment and fixtures in production. This position will be based out of our distribution center located in 5851 Guion Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46254. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performing minor plumbing, carpentry, or electrical repairs


• Removing or installing items such as pallet racking, guard rails or bollards


• General internal and external building repairs and maintenance such as painting, caulking, patching, etc.


• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area


• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations


• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives


• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or over, due to the nature of work


• Possess prior maintenance or repair experience


• Knowledge utilizing machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance


• Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills


• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented


• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment


• Work independently as well as in a team environment


• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed


• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork


• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs


• Willingness to be frequently bending/reaching/stooping as well as constantly walking/standing/climbing


• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous electrical, carpentry or plumbing experience


• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints


• Previous forklift and scissor lift experience
