Position Summary:

The Facility - Level 2 plays a critical role in supporting operations by performing advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility systems and equipment. This position ensures the facility operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and government regulations. Requires a strong mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and building systems.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of facility-related issues with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain area cleanliness and organization to support 6S initiatives.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout(LOTO) and Confined Space maintenance tasks as necessary.
  • Safely operates facilities equipment such as power tools, hoists, cranes, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
  • Coordinate and oversee vendors/contractors performing maintenance or installation work.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Assist in facility modifications, equipment installations, and space reconfigurations to support aerospace programs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental standards (EPA, OSHA), and industry-specific regulations (e.g., AS9100).
  • Participate in audits and inspections related to facility operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections.
  • Support emergency repairs and be available for on-call rotations, if required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical trade certification preferred.
  • Minimum 4 plus years of progressive experience in facilities maintenance, ideally in an aerospace or highly regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and building management systems (BMS).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, power tools, and CMMS platforms.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior staff.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 35 lbs).
  • Work may involve heights, confined spaces, and occasional exposure to noise, chemicals, or dust.
  • May require PPE and adherence to strict aerospace cleanliness and safety protocols.
