The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking Industrial Engineers located in Mesa, AZ.

Our new facility the Advanced Composite Fabrication Center (ACFC) is a hub for advanced manufacturing, where we design and produce cutting-edge military products that are vital to national defense. Position Overview: As an Industrial Engineer, you will apply industrial engineering concepts and techniques to optimize products, processes, and services in alignment with program requirements. You will develop plant layouts, capacity plans, and workflows while evaluating new technologies for integration into production and service operations.

Position Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and optimize production systems by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.

  • Conduct workflow design and analysis to enhance operational efficiency and improve quality.

  • Develop models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data, providing summary analysis and metrics for leadership consultation.

  • Research, design, and implement processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, reduce costs, and improve quality.

  • Standardize assembly practices.

  • Prepare operations plans, including budgeting, capacity analysis, and production change management to meet technical goals.

  • Support execution planning through project management, planning, scheduling, and shop load practices.

  • Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and ergonomic guidelines.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

  • This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Level 1: Bachelor’s degree OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications

  • Level 2: 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications

  • Experience working closely with manufacturing assembly line technicians – helping support their efforts

Typical Education & Experience:

Level 1: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor), or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. Summary pay range:

Level 1: $60,350 - $81,650

Level 2: $72,250 - $97,750
