Job summary

Dallas County is seeking a reliable Facilities Aide to perform a range of duties including janitorial, housekeeping, general labor, laundry and food service tasks under supervision. This role supports clean and safe facilities across county sites.

Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, sorting and stocking supplies, and monitoring facility conditions. A background check is required, with drug testing possibly required; physical work includes lifting up to 45 lbs and extended

Qualifications

• Completion of eighth grade from an accredited school or additional equivalent work experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must pass criminal background check and may be subject to drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Performs janitorial duties such as cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, stripping and waxing floors and common areas using various equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Performs general manual labor duties such as moving furniture, file cabinets, equipment and supplies.
• Assists with laundry duties, including washing, folding, sorting, and storing.
• Receives and maintains inventory of food items, clothing, bedding and other supplies.
• Monitors and inspects facility and equipment and identifies remedies and/or reports to management any related health, safety and security concerns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
