Position Overview

As a Janitor at Hartville Hardware, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized environment for our guests and team members. This position involves a range of cleaning duties to uphold the store's appearance and cleanliness standards.

What You Will Do

Store Cleaning

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming, to ensure a tidy and inviting shopping environment.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms regularly, replenishing supplies as needed.

Trash Removal

• Empty and dispose of trash and recycling containers throughout the store.
• Monitor trash levels and ensure timely disposal.
• Clean and maintain store floors, including both carpeted and hard surfaces.
• Identify and address spills promptly to prevent accidents.

Window & Glass Cleaning

• Clean windows and glass surfaces to provide a clear and appealing view for guests.

Common Area Cleaning

• Clean common areas such as break rooms, restrooms, and offices.
• Wipe down surfaces, tables, and chairs to maintain a clean and welcoming space.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize as needed.

Stock Room Maintenance

• Assist in keeping stock rooms organized and clean to support efficient inventory management.
• Dispose of empty packaging materials and maintain a clutter-free stock area.

Safety Compliance

• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
