Job summary

Citadel Healthcare is seeking a Housekeeper to join their team in Northbrook, IL. The Housekeeper cleans and services an assigned portion of the facility including furniture, floors, and equipment, maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include trash removal, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning walls and fixtures, and supporting general housekeeping operations in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous institutional housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Experience in long-term care facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and disposes of trash with proper liners.
• Vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing floors daily.
• Empties trash bins and maintains a clean surrounding area.
• Cleans walls, ceilings, windows, and fixtures, using a ladder if needed.
• Hangs draperies and privacy curtains as necessary.
• Keeps utility rooms clean and organized.
• Follows sanitation and safety standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
