Job summary

U-Haul is hiring Facility Housekeepers to keep its facilities clean and inviting. You'll perform sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, and mopping across storage units, hallways, restrooms, and more, while tracking supplies and maintaining safety practices.

Ideal candidates are organized, proactive, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. The role supports a reliable operations environment with opportunities for growth and on-the-job training within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be organized and proactive with attention to detail.
• Able to follow safety precautions and instructions.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks and lifting up to 50 lbs with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevator, and surrounding areas.
• Dispose of trash and manage cleaning supply inventory, requesting more as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Facility Housekeeper Responsibilities

• Provide sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, and mopping for storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevator, etc.
• Dispose of trash
• Maintain and track cleaning supply inventory, requesting supplies as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Facility Housekeeper Minimum Qualifications

• Organization skills

Work Environment The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of remaining stationary, moving around outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights, and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50lbs assisted or unassisted.
