Job summary

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a Facility Groundskeeper to provide support to the Maintenance Department by assisting with facility maintenance, clean-up, painting, grounds maintenance, pressure washing and landscaping.

This position requires the incumbent to lift up to 75 lbs; engage effectively with others of diverse cultures and backgrounds; be able to work a non-standard work week, which will include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime hours; and be available to work home football games, post-season baseball, and other sports as needed, including post-game cleanup.

This posting will remain open until a qualified candidate is chosen.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED*
• One year of related experience and/or training*
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating 2/4 cycle machines such as but not limited to: gas/electrical backpack blower, power washer, edger

*An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of listed requirement.
