Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Facility Float Pool RN to join our nursing team on a part-time basis (12 hours/week). The role requires a current RN license, BLS certification, and acute care experience.

Shift TBD; candidates should be able to perform tasks per the nursing process while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality. You will coordinate patient care with other departments, uphold Mercy's mission and standards, and enjoy benefits including health

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program.
• 1 year of nursing experience in acute care preferred; six months in the last year.
• Current RN license required in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire; unit-specific certifications as needed.

• Provide patient care using the nursing process with professional accountability.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and respect patient rights and confidentiality.
• Maintain compliance with Mercy Service Standards and applicable regulations.

Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Qualifications

Experience

• 1 year of nursing experience in acute care, preferred. Six months of this experience should be within the last year.

Required Education

• Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program.

Licensure

• Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.

Physical requirements/demands

Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.

Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
