Job summary

Mercy South Float Pool is seeking an experienced RN to provide care across multiple units at the Mercy South location in St. Louis, MO. This PRN role offers flexible scheduling with 12-hour and 8-hour shifts, and tiered pay differentials across Med/Surg, Stepdown, ICU, and other units.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of bedside RN experience, a Missouri RN license, and BLS certification; BSN is preferred. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of bedside RN experience
• BSN preferred
• Current RN license in the state of Missouri
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Ability to push, pull, lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care across multiple units in the Mercy South Float Pool
• Coordinate with departments to ensure patient safety and continuity of care
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
• Adapt to fast-paced, varied assignments across units

Flexible Scheduling Options:

• 12-hour shifts:7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM

• 8-hour evening shifts:3 PM – 11 PM

Competitive Pay with Tiered Differentials:

• Tier 3 (Med/Surg):+$5.00/hr

• Tier 2 (Stepdown):+$7.50/hr

• Tier 1 (ICU):+$10.00/hr

Additional Shift Differentials:

• Evening: +$2.75/hr

• Night: +$4.60/hr

• Weekend: +$1.50/hr

Qualifications:

• Experience:1–2 years of bedside RN experience

• Education:Nursing degree from an accredited school (BSN preferred)

• License:Current RN license in the state

• Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association

• Physical requirements/demands:

  • Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

  • Prolonged standing and walking each shift

  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
