Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dynamic RN to join the Mercy South Float Pool in St. Louis, MO. This PRN role offers shifts across multiple units, with 12-hour and 8-hour options, and tiered differentials to reward cross-functional care.

Candidates will have 1–2 years of bedside RN experience, a BSN preferred, and an active RN license in Missouri. BLS certification is required, with opportunities for growth and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care following Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model.

• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with policies.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing learning to support float assignments.

Flexible Scheduling Options:

• 12-hour shifts:7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM

• 8-hour evening shifts:3 PM – 11 PM

Competitive Pay with Tiered Differentials:

• Tier 3 (Med/Surg):+$5.00/hr

• Tier 2 (Stepdown):+$7.50/hr

• Tier 1 (ICU):+$10.00/hr

Additional Shift Differentials:

• Evening: +$2.75/hr

• Night: +$4.60/hr

• Weekend: +$1.50/hr

Qualifications:

• Experience:1–2 years of bedside RN experience

• Education:Nursing degree from an accredited school (BSN preferred)

• License:Current RN license in the state

• Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association

• Physical requirements/demands:

  • Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

  • Prolonged standing and walking each shift

  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
