Job summary

Mercy South Float Pool is seeking a dynamic RN to join a flexible PRN pool at Mercy South, with 12-hour and 8-hour shifts across multiple units. The role offers tiered shift differentials and opportunities to grow clinical skills in Orthopedics, Med/Surg, Telemetry, ICU, ED, and more.

Requires 1–2 years of bedside RN experience, a nursing degree (BSN preferred), and an active RN license in the state. Orientation and start-up hours may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of bedside RN experience
• Nursing degree from an accredited school (BSN preferred)
• Current RN license in the state
• BLS through the American Heart Association
• Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Mercy South Float Pool across multiple units
• Coordinate patient care with other departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality and follow Mercy standards

Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Flexible Scheduling Options:

• 12-hour shifts:7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM

• 8-hour evening shifts:3 PM – 11 PM

Competitive Pay with Tiered Differentials:

• Tier 3 (Med/Surg):+$5.00/hr

• Tier 2 (Stepdown):+$7.50/hr

• Tier 1 (ICU):+$10.00/hr

Additional Shift Differentials:

• Evening: +$2.75/hr

• Night: +$4.60/hr

• Weekend: +$1.50/hr

Qualifications:

• Experience:1–2 years of bedside RN experience

• Education:Nursing degree from an accredited school (BSN preferred)

• License:Current RN license in the state

• Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association

• Physical requirements/demands:

  • Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

  • Prolonged standing and walking each shift

  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
