Qualifications

• Educational requirement typically a high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience posting to ledger accounts, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements (Accounting Technician 7).
• Two years of experience posting to ledger accounts, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements (Accounting Technician 8), including one year as Accounting Technician 7 or equivalent.
• Three years of experience posting to ledger accounts, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements (Accounting Technician E9), including related pathways.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial information to the Facility Manager and oversee budgetary controls.
• Oversee Prisoner Benefit Fund activities and all prisoner accounting at the facility.
• Reconcile facility accounts and analyze expenditures to ensure budgets are not exceeded.
• Research purchases and assist in the purchase process for facility needs.
• Assist in mail room duties and help revise facility policies as requested.
