Job summary

IVAM Microtechnology Network is seeking a Facility Engineer for our Itzehoe site to ensure reliable utility services and oversee facilities maintenance.

You will plan installations, coordinate contractors, and maintain installation documentation while adhering to national and international standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD and fluent German/English are required.

This role rewards a structured, proactive professional who can manage projects in cleanroom environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, technical certification, or master craftsman’s certification in electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of building services engineering beyond office buildings.
• Experience with production cleanrooms in semiconductor industry preferred.
• Project experience and a structured, independent, and solution‑oriented approach.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and fluent in German and English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability of utility services within your area.
• Collaborate with site partners on maintenance, installations, or modifications.
• Select contractors, manage awards, and coordinate fulfillment.
• Plan and implement new installations and decommissioning of facilities.
• Create and maintain installation documentation, layouts, and records.
• Assist with emergency response and troubleshooting.
• Operate as Certified Electrical Specialist (VEFK) per laws and standards.

Your role

• Ensuring the reliability of utility services within your area of responsibility
• Collaborating with site partners regarding maintenance, new installations, or modifications to all facilities
• Selecting contractors and external service providers, managing contract awards and fulfillment, and organizing their coordination
• Planning and implementation of new installations and decommissioning of production facilities or utility systems in compliance with all specifications
• Creation and maintenance of installation documentation, layouts, and records
• Assistance with emergency response and troubleshooting
• Assumption of the position as a Certified Electrical Specialist (VEFK) and the associated duties and responsibilities in accordance with national and international laws, standards, and regulations

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree, technical certification, or master craftsman’s certification in an electrical engineering field (e.g., electrical engineering)
• Knowledge of building services engineering that extends beyond office buildings
• Ideally, initial professional experience with production cleanrooms in the semiconductor industry, initial experience in environmental management or occupational safety, and project experience
• A highly structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
• A strong sense of responsibility and conscientiousness
• Proficient in AutoCAD and with very good German and English language skills
