The Facility Engineer at Kiss Nail Products, Inc. is responsible for the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of cosmetic manufacturing facilities and utility systems, including HVAC, purified water, compressed air, electrical, and building services.

This role ensures GMP compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements are met. You will develop preventive maintenance programs, perform root-cause analysis, manage CAPEX projects, and coordinate with contractors and vendors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required.
  • 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing facilities engineering or utilities.
  • Experience with GMP/cosmetic manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee facility and utility operations including HVAC, PW, compressed air, electrical, and building systems.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs and spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure GMP and environmental compliance; support audits and equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Coordinate capital projects, contractor management, and commissioning activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement and energy conservation initiatives.

Job Description Summary

The Facility Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing facilities and utility systems supporting cosmetic production. This role manages HVAC, purified water, compressed air, electrical, and building systems while ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Utility Operations
  • Manage and maintain facility utility systems, including:
  • HVAC systems
  • Purified Water (PW) systems
  • Compressed air systems
  • Chillers and cooling towers
  • Boilers and steam generation systems
  • Electrical distribution systems
  • Monitor facility performance and utility consumption.
Preventive Maintenance
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate corrective and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement root cause corrective actions.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance records.
GMP & Compliance
  • Ensure facility systems comply with cosmetic GMP requirements.
  • Support equipment qualification activities:
  • IQ (Installation Qualification)
  • OQ (Operational Qualification)
  • PQ (Performance Qualification)
  • Maintain facility-related SOPs and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits.
Capital Projects
  • Support facility expansion and new equipment installation projects.
  • Participate in facility design reviews and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate contractors and vendors.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.
Safety & Environmental Management
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Conduct facility risk assessments.
  • Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
Continuous Improvement
  • Drive facility reliability and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Analyze utility usage trends and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Implement Lean, TPM, or continuous improvement initiatives.
Education
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Related Engineering Discipline
Preferred
  • Professional Engineer certification
  • Relevant facility management certifications
Experience
Required
  • 3-7 years of experience in Manufacturing facilities engineering, Utility system maintenance or Industrial plant operations
Preferred
  • Experience in Cosmetics manufacturing, Pharmaceutical manufacturing, Food manufacturing and/or GMP-regulated environments

The anticipated compensation range is

Actual compensation will be determined based on various factors including qualifications, education, experience, and location. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
