Job summary

EMCOR Group is hiring an Electrical Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair facility electrical distribution systems, electronics, and lighting. The role covers low voltage, fire alarm, and voice/data systems, following NEC and safety standards.

The applicant will perform preventative maintenance, maintain documentation, and support shop/van organization, inventory control, and calibration of testing equipment. Overtime and varied environments are possible.

Qualifications

• Requires completed Apprenticeship Program. Must be 21 years old or older.
• 4 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess applicable certifications, licenses and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Installs and connects power supply wiring and conduit for lighting, general devices, and equipment.
• Troubleshoots and supports production controls and automation components.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus and replaces damaged parts, wires, cables and connections.
• Maintains electrical distribution equipment and lighting systems per NEC guidelines.
