Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a facilities custodian to clean and maintain the building, yard and dock areas to ensure a clean, safe and attractive work environment. The starting pay is $18.19 per hour in the United States, with standard custodial responsibilities.

Responsibilities include office cleaning, general yard work, parking area upkeep and light repairs. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Good cleaning techniques and floor buffing skills.
• Must be professional in interaction with customers and coworkers.
• Good organizational skills.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, mop and dust entire office area.
• Empty trash.
• Clean restrooms.
• Perform general yard work (cleans, picks up trash, cuts grass, maintains gardens).
• Maintain parking areas to keep free of trash.
• Clean dock and dock apron.
• Perform minor building repair and paint as needed.
• Change light bulbs in office area and on dock.
• Change air conditioner filters.
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
