Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a part-time Custodian to clean and maintain the facility including offices, yard and dock areas. Responsibilities include cleaning, trash removal, restroom sanitation, grounds maintenance, and minor repairs.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, good cleaning techniques, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Starting pay is $18.75 per hour, with hours varying by operational needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong cleaning technique and floor buffing skills requested.
• Must be professional in interaction with customers and coworkers.
• Good organizational skills.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat and pull/push custodial equipment.
• Good chemical awareness.
• Able to follow instructions and complete required training.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, mop and dust entire office area.
• Empty trash.
• Clean restrooms.
• Perform general yard work (cleans, picks up trash, cuts grass, maintains gardens).
• Maintain parking areas to keep free of trash.
• Clean dock and dock apron.
• Perform minor building repair and paint as needed.
• Change light bulbs in office area and on dock.
• Change air conditioner filters.
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
