Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a Custodian for Murphy Middle to maintain school facilities in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition under the GCPS Custodial Care Program. The role requires following supervisor instructions and GCPS policies, with scheduled hours from 5pm to 9pm, Monday through Friday.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and may have industrial or commercial cleaning experience.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Industrial or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned school facilities in clean, sanitary condition.
• Use approved cleaning chemicals and equipment per GCPS policies.
• Open/secure facilities as instructed by supervisors.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
