Job summary

CSL is seeking a custodian to maintain a clean and orderly collection center in Jackson, TN. Responsibilities include cleaning duties across break rooms, donor areas, restrooms, and common spaces, with attention to safety and OSHA policies.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three months of custodial experience. The candidate must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and perform minor maintenance tasks as needed while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) months experience as a custodian preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Cleans tables, chairs, cabinets, counters and appliances in break rooms and donor waiting areas.
• Vacuums carpets, dusts furniture and removes trash.
• Cleans windows and doors daily.
• Performs minor maintenance tasks (bulbs, tiles, painting, plumbing, carpentry).
• Monitors grounds and parking lots, picks up litter as required.
• Assists in recycling and repackaging shipping materials.
• Inspects and cleans restrooms; replaces supplies; performs minor custodial tasks.
• Receives supplies from vendors and moves supplies to storage and released/quarantined areas.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment; ensures supplies are available; follows HSE/OSHA policies; promotes safety.
• Maintains confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organizational discretion.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
