Job summary

Spectrum Control, Inc. seeks a Facility Security Officer to lead the Delmar, DE security program and to manage personnel security clearances across U.S. sites. The role blends site security management (about 70%) with corporate clearance administration (about 30%), reporting to the Corporate Security Manager.

The candidate will oversee NISP/NISPOM compliance, DCSA interactions, and drive standardized processes, training, and continuous improvements across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial security, preferably in a cleared defense/aerospace or government contracting environment.
• Experience managing personnel security clearance processes across multiple locations.
• Experience coordinating with DCSA and other U.S. Government security representatives preferred.
• DCSA/CDSE FSO training, or ability to complete required training within 6 months of appointment to FSO position; certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as FSO for Delmar, DE facility; maintain compliance with NISP requirements and support DCSA assessments, reviews, reporting, and change-condition submissions.
• Own day-to-day security operations for the Delmar cleared program, including access lists, badging, visit control, and security systems monitoring.
• Coordinate with facilities, IT, program management, engineering, operations, and Global Trade & Security to support cleared work at the site.
• Coordinate with site FSOs/HR for prescreening, citizenship verification, eApp onboarding, renewal tracking, and clearance actions.
• Develop SOPs, metrics, and tracking tools for PCL management and support training across locations.
