Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Facility Controller to supervise and coordinate the facility business office, aligning financial and operational goals with corporate policies.

You will analyze monthly financial statements with the Warden and Assistant Wardens, maintain GAAP-compliant procedures, and implement internal controls while overseeing supervision, training and management.

A Bachelor's degree and six years' business experience with three years in supervision are required; MBA/CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Accounting or related field.
• Six years of increasingly responsible business experience.
• Three years of supervisory experience.
• Graduate coursework in business may substitute for up to two years of experience.
• No substitution for supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, Microsoft Word and Excel, plus supervision fundamentals.
• Minimum Age: 21 years and a valid driver's license.
• MBA or CPA is preferred.
• Experience with Enterprise software such as Oracle / JD Edwards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the monthly financial statements with Warden and Assistant Wardens using analytical skills to develop operational efficiencies.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all applicable administrative, operational, corporate accounting and personnel policies and procedures.
• Implement a general knowledge of all Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and have a working knowledge of the terms of the applicable management contracts.
• Establish, modify, document and coordinate the implementation of financial, accounting and administrative procedures and internal controls for the facility that are in keeping with accepted accounting principles and corporate policies and procedures.
