Job summary

Vanderbilt Health seeks a Facility Compliance and Privacy Officer to coordinate local compliance programs across hospitals and departments. You will work with OCCI and Privacy Office, ensuring adherence to laws, policies, and privacy rules while guiding leadership on ethics and regulatory matters.

Responsibilities include investigations, reporting, training, and benchmarking. A CHPC or equivalent certification is preferred; seven years in a related role is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare privacy/compliance programs.
• Minimum 7 years in compliance or ethics roles.
• Bachelor's degree and professional privacy certification preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate local compliance activities at assigned hospitals.
• Advise leadership on ethics, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate concerns and escalate to appropriate offices.
• Monitor HIPAA/HITECH privacy and data security practices.
