Job summary

UC Irvine Health is seeking a Facility Coding Supervisor to lead inpatient and outpatient facility coding operations across the network. This role oversees coding personnel, coordinates resources, and drives quality and regulatory compliance using CAC technology.

The supervisor partners with leadership to enhance coding accuracy, productivity, and workflow efficiency, including audits, metrics, and cross-functional collaboration with Revenue Integrity and CDI teams.

Qualifications

• Strong CAC functionality and coding quality principles.
• 5+ years acute care hospital facility coding experience (inpatient/outpatient).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership for inpatient/outpatient facility coding operations.
• Supervise coding personnel and coordinate workforce resources.
• Monitor coding performance, quality metrics, and CAC tech optimization.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and accurate coding workflows.
• Collaborate with leadership and departments to improve processes.
