Job summary

CoxHealth West Campus is hiring a Facility Coder to accurately code facility-based services, including inpatient and outpatient claims. The role requires expertise in ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, PCS and DRG, with a commitment to ethical coding and high-quality data.

Requirements include a high school diploma and completion of a coding course; 1–2 years of related experience is preferred. Day shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at 303 E Republic Rd, Springfield, MO.

Qualifications

• Analytical ability to interpret data in medical records and assign codes accurately.
• Expert knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, PCS and DRG classification systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Code facility-based services (inpatient, outpatient, or claims) using ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, PCS and DRG.
• Maintain 95%+ quarterly quality score and comply with ethical coding standards.
