Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside client sites. The role requires flexibility to adapt to various tasks per client specifications and schedules.

Responsibilities include floor care, restroom upkeep, waste disposal, window cleaning, carpet maintenance, and restock of supplies. On-the-job training is provided; high attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of janitorial experience or on-the-job training provided.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors and entrances.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste; use of compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors with appropriate cleaners.
• Spot clean carpets and assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and buffers.
