Job summary

IFS in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Janitorial Crew Member for full-time shifts. You will clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and surfaces, handle trash, and support building upkeep in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts vary, including days and nights with weekends. This union-represented role offers potential benefits after eligibility, with training provided and adherence to safety rules (English; Spanish as required by state).

Qualifications

• Experience in building and warehouse cleaning work.
• Ability to follow oral or written instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required).
• English primarily; Spanish where state required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain building floor surfaces (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, degumming).
• Clean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures, machines and other equipment; dust, wash, vacuum, polish.
• Gather and empty trash; service, clean and supply restrooms.
• Move furniture or equipment as needed; extract carpet for small jobs.
• Operate cleaning equipment per instructions; prepare cleaning solutions as required.
• Monitor and report facility issues needing repairs to Lead/Manager.
• Monitor building security and safety; ensure equipment is turned off after hours.
