Job summary

Jackson Sumner & Associates (JSA) is hiring a Cleaning Specialist to join our Support Staff in Boone, NC. The role covers routine and non-routine cleaning, plus light maintenance and coordination with the Office Manager for office needs.

The position requires a High School diploma, strong organization, basic computer/phone skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Evening/weekend work may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be clean and organized.
• Must possess basic computer and telephone skills.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to climb heights, climb onto ladders, and lift/carry up to 50lbs.
• Ability to interact with internal staff as well as with external vendors.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning of all areas of the building and parking lot as outlined in the cleaning schedule.
• Complete non-routine cleaning as outlined in the cleaning schedule or as directed.
• Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped and stocked with any supplies as needed.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning and minor maintenance according to building and equipment needs.
• Continuous evaluation of building condition and communicate with supervisor about any work that requires outside expert assistance.
• Receive and respond to staff reports of issues or building needs.
• Order supplies for building needs.
• Coordinate with Office Manager and Office Assistant to setup and breakdown before and after any company functions.
