Job summary

City of North Miami is seeking a dedicated facilities attendant to perform custodial tasks across the building, including floors, restrooms, and common areas. The role requires reliability, ability to pass a background check, and transportation to the site.

You will operate cleaning equipment, follow safety procedures, and report issues to the supervisor. The position emphasizes attention to detail and consistent, high-quality cleaning standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ to perform all job duties and operate any required machinery
• Authorized to work in the USA
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors throughout the facility
• Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and dispensers; restock supplies
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures
• Clean glass doors, windows, and partitions as needed
• Wipe down and disinfect high-touch areas (door handles, light switches, handrails)
• Clean break rooms/kitchens, including countertops, sinks, and appliances
• Take out trash to designated dumpster/collection areas
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor
• Operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor buffers, etc.) safely and properly
• Follow all safety procedures and use PPE as required
• Secure the facility (lock doors, turn off lights) at the end of the shift
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
