Job summary

Nova Space Solutions, LLC is seeking a Carpenter to support facility maintenance, repair, renovation, and construction activities for NASA operations. The role involves skilled carpentry across framing, walls, doors, windows, and related components, performed onsite at our Stennis Space Center facility.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years carpentry experience (or 5 years in lieu of formal education), blueprint reading, and proficiency with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years carpentry experience; five years can substitute for vocational education.
• Experience with carpentry hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, sketches, work orders, and verbal instructions.
• Strong organizational, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and with diverse teams.
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbally.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain NASA site access.

Responsibilities

• Perform general carpentry work using hand and power tools.
• Erect wooden structures and construct building frames.
• Install exterior and interior walls, trim, doors, windows, floor and ceiling tile.
• Build concrete forms and scaffolding.
• Maintain and repair buildings and facilities.
• Build and install cabinets, interior fixtures, and related components.
• Prepare layouts, select materials, and follow blueprints or sketches.
• Coordinate multiple assignments and projects simultaneously.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
