Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Facilities Plant Maintenance Specialist with Carpentry Experience to join our team in Hertford, NC. You will repair and maintain site infrastructure, reading blueprints and working with various equipment, while coordinating with skilled technicians on a 1st shift.

Required: 3+ years as a carpenter and completion of Fall Protection Training. Preferred: blueprint literacy, forklift/scissor/boom lift operation, strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a carpenter or associated field.
• Ability to pass and complete Fall Protection Training.

Responsibilities

• Repair various parts of site infrastructure including doors, ceiling components, drywall, carpet, and other items as needed by assigned group.
• Use basic knowledge of building codes, regulations and safety procedures.
• Demonstrate increased skill level in construction to include rough-in and lay-out, under supervision.
• Provide general support in response to routine trouble calls.
• Demonstrate increased skill level in the repair and maintenance of plant and office facilities.
• Use hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair facilities and equipment.
• Perform demolition, remodel, and new build projects.
• Lead and work with employees of lower classifications engaged in moving and positioning heavy equipment, real property, and installed property.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
