Job summary

Porter-Blair Cleaning Company is seeking a reliable Facility Care Specialist to maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation across client sites. The role rewards those who value consistency and accountability, understanding that quality matters even when no one is watching.

You will perform routine cleaning tasks, vacuum, mop, sanitize restrooms, handle spills, restock supplies, and report maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of janitorial experience.
• Driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment.
• Excellent stamina and physical health.
• Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine commercial cleaning tasks according to established standards and site checklists.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms.
• Properly handle spills using approved cleaning methods and equipment.
• Remove trash and maintain clean, organized common areas.
• Identify and report maintenance or supply needs.
• Follow site-specific instructions, safety procedures, and quality expectations.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building.
• Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans daily.
• Clean windows, shampoo carpets, replace light bulbs, supply restrooms, and perform minor repairs on a regular basis.
• Wipe up spills and other hazards with sponges and squeegees.
• Secure the building by locking doors once cleaning is complete.
• Write reports of areas cleaned and notify the manager of major repairs.
