RHA Health Services in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Facility Based Crisis Registered Nurse for PRN shifts in a non-hospital detox setting. You will provide nursing care to voluntary patients with behavioral health and substance use challenges, monitor crises, and support integrated care in a fast-paced environment. Average length of stay is 5–7 days.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Schedule is PRN, with shift differential for overnight and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates Degree in Nursing.
• Prefer one year of nursing experience, especially in behavioral health.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for some assignments.

Responsabilités

• Assess and monitor clients using current nursing assessment skills in behavioral health and substance use treatment.
• Maintain compliance with policies for controlled substances and inventories.
• Monitor clients for side effects and adverse reactions to medications; document findings.
• Participate in QA activities and communicate effectively with the care team.

Job Responsibilities

• Utilize your skills and expertise, current nursing assessment skills and knowledge of nursing principles to assess and monitor clients, participating in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment and responding to crises on a timely basis.
• Comply with Controlled Substances policy and procedures in maintaining accurate inventories and controlled logs, following appropriate guidelines for investigation of discrepancies
• Monitor consumers and taking appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications
• Complete QA activities as requested and participating in the QA process
• Communicate effectively with the team

Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the position include:

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing.
• Must meet the education, experience, licensure/certification requirements specified by the service definition of the service being provided
• Prefer one year of nursing experience.
• Experience in behavioral health nursing preferred.
• Some college training and/or management experience helpful
• Valid drivers license (this is a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
• Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required.

Pre-employment screening:

• Complete criminal background
• Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
• Drug testing
• Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
• Proof of employment history or references (if required)
• Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
