Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in behavioral health, inpatient psychiatric care, crisis units, emergency departments, or residential treatment preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals with psychiatric or co-occurring disorders while ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Follow the plan of care, observe and document status, and assist with activities of daily living.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation and therapeutic engagement techniques.
• Maintain a structured, safe, and therapeutic environment within the unit or crisis setting.
• Identify triggers and changes in behavior, report concerns promptly to clinical staff.
• Document observations, interventions, and incidents in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and shift hand-offs.
