Job summary

Target is hiring for a Facility Attendant 1 in a Supply Chain Facility. You will perform a broad range of light maintenance tasks to keep the distribution center in safe, efficient condition and support maintenance technicians as needed.

You will work with tools, handle batteries, operate power equipment, and assist in preventive maintenance programs while following strict safety standards. This role requires teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Possesses and maintains a valid driver's license for state employment
• Work both independently and in a team environment
• Able to be certified to operate all power equipment
• Able to read and comprehend labels, tickets, instructions, etc.
• Able to use maintenance tools; saws, drills, etc.

Responsibilities

• Support Maintenance Technicians in mechanical maintenance and repair of tools and minor floor machines.
• Act as a Qualified Electrical Assistant for electrical safety processes.
• Support installation/removal of equipment throughout the facility.
• Evaluate interior/exterior of the facility to determine upkeep or repair needs.
• Change PIT batteries and maintain battery records; document at shift end.
• Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot Label Tec Printers.
• Operate hand and power tools (drills, saws, grinders, welders).
• Assemble or repair assets using carpentry, welding and fabrication as needed.
• Perform plumbing tasks such as faucet and sprinkler work; clean drains and sumps.
• Paint and drywall repairs, concrete patching or replacement.
• Assist preventive maintenance programs (pest control, HVAC, etc.).
• Remove debris and keep grounds neat; operate snow removal equipment.
• Drive Target vehicles for yard cleanup and parts pickup.
• Operate equipment safely and follow PPE and lockout procedures.
• Prepare paperwork and maintain daily work orders and data in apps.
